How can life be what you want it to be
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open
You’re so consumed with how much you get
You waste your time with hate and regret
You’re broken
When your heart’s not open
Mmmmmm, if I could melt your heart
Mmmmmm, we’d never be apart
Mmmmmm, give yourself to me
Mmmmmm, you hold the key
Now there’s no point in placing the blame
And you should know I suffer the same
If I lose you
My heart will be broken
Love is a bird, she needs to fly
Let all the hurt inside of you die
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open
Mmmmmm, if I could melt your heart
Mmmmmm, we’d never be apart
Mmmmmm, give yourself to me
Mmmmmm, you hold the key
You only see what your eyes want to see
How can life be what you want it to be
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open
Mmmmmm, if I could melt your heart
Mmmmmm, we’d never be apart
Mmmmmm, give yourself to me
Mmmmmm, you hold the key
Mmmmmm, if I could melt your heart
Mmmmmm, we’d never be apart
Mmmmmm, give yourself to me
Mmmmmm, you hold the key
If I could melt your heart

rediscovered my love for this song after a long long time…when i found it on a friend’s iPod…and have been listening to it over and over since then…its dark, romantic, and it puts out quite a thought….
*you only see what ur eyes want to see…*
my thoughts as i put them down may seem *disconnected*,*philosophical*, *fake*, and just another *sentimental rant* triggered by a song…but i know that these thoughts cross our minds…everyone’s mind…and i guess if a person is not thinking along these lines s/he has either already attained *self-actualization* or is too drugged by the material world to talk to his/her conscience
at the end of the day…arent we all victims…arent we all *frozen*?
the best example of a frozen sychophant absorbed in himself in literature would probably be Peter Keating from ‘the fountainhead’.
we’re all ready to find peter keatings around us but once we look inside us, there’s a peter keating inside each one of us too.
our logic teacher keeps sayin in class ‘why dont u act according to what u know??’. we may whine abt his borin lectures but his words hold so much wieght. we just arentready to listen coz we realise that WE ARE WRONG. only when we try to make a difference in ourselves, will we able to make a difference around us.
ps: love the song.
dude…he’s just plain boring..=P
he speaks of an ideal world..of a utopia that JUST *cant* exist….we can’t *change the world* by changing ourselves…but yes…we can change whats around us..we can change our own lives by our actions..we can make little differences
and i personally think people think and listen to all of these things…but are too numb to accept it..their conscience is *frozen*
*reminds self…must write blog about conscience*
you’re frozen. I’m frozen. Everyone’s frozen. This is how it has been since the past million years, this is how it will be, since utopia is just not possible, and there’s this *universal balance* which keeps everything in place. As the song by Police goes *we are spirits in the material world*
firstly i love the song…….the moment i heard it i loved it….( well…i heard it quite a long tym after it was sung
)
we all are frozen not only cos our hearta are not open but also cos are minds are shut!!! n sid’s right…peter keating to me was a pitiable character!!! but sadly we all possess a keating!!
n abeer tufail might be boring and repetitive but the man has logic in his owrds =P
hmm i have never actually listened to this song, never been a madonna fan, but the lyrics make me wanna find it n listen to it, lol.
